Trent Caswell presents new equipment and a check for $500 to Wisconsin Rapids Youth Sports Association

Wheelers Chevrolet Buick GMC of Wisconsin Rapids has joined forces with Chevrolet and the Chevy Youth Baseball program in an effort to provide new equipment, instruction opportunities as well as sponsorship dollars for the Wisconsin Rapids Youth Sports Association (WRYSA).

“We’re proud to be able to offer this opportunity to local sports teams,” said Mary Jo Wheeler, owner. “It’s great to see the funds from last year’s test drive events being put to good use!”

In 2021, the Chevy Youth Baseball Test Drive Fundraising Opportunity is a program by which Wheelers Chevrolet Buick GMC of Wisconsin Rapids will provide $20 on behalf of every customer that visits the event and takes a test drive in any one of the new Chevrolet vehicles in stock, up to a maximum of $2,000.00

Since 2017, Wheelers has hosted Chevy Test Drives at each of their locations in Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Abbotsford, and Medford. Wheelers has since relocated the Chevrolet dealership from Abbotsford to Merrill. Wheelers is continuing their commitment to the Abbotsford community through Wheelers Abby Sales & Service. Funds raised from the events, hosted through General Motors Chevrolet, are part of a national campaign to equip youth sports teams with the gear they need to succeed. Through Wheelers and the Chevrolet Youth Baseball, over $25,000 in cash and equipment have been committed to area youth sports teams.

“The equipment that Wheelers and Chevy provide to our youth baseball and softball programs really goes a long way,” said Justin Casperson, coach. “We’re able to keep the program affordable to the participants and provide good equipment for the kids to use for their season.”
