Colleen Dettmering presents new equipment and a check for $500 to Medford Little League

Wheelers Chevrolet of Medford has joined forces with Chevrolet and the Chevy Youth Baseball & Softball program in an effort to provide new equipment, instruction opportunities as well as sponsorship dollars for the Medford Little League.

“Playing baseball and softball helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support. Wheelers Chevrolet of Medford and Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball are proud to participate in a sport that brings so many smiles to kids and families in Medford.” said Mary Jo Wheeler, Owner for Wheelers Chevrolet of Medford. “Chevrolet believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future and supports the spirit of teamwork that baseball and softball instills in its players.”

Wheelers Chevrolet of Medford will present Medford Little League an equipment kit that includes useful items such as equipment bags, first aid kits, batting tees, and ball buckets. The sponorship also includes youth clinics featuring current and former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, or instruction from Ripken Baseball.

In addition, Wheelers Chevrolet of Medford will present a check representing a one-time monetary contribution to Medford Little League. Sponsored leagues across the country will have the chance to earn additional funds as community members take test drives at their partnering dealership to help support the league.

In 2021, the Chevy Youth Baseball Test Drive Fundraising Opportunity is a program by which Wheelers Chevrolet will provide $20 on behalf of every customer that visits the event and takes a test drive in any one of the new Chevrolet vehicles in stock, up to a maximum of $2,000.

Bring a perishable food item or a donation for the food pantry or Humane Society that night for a Woodchucks game ticket. We have tickets for the specific August 6th game, or 2021 Flex Ticket is valid for one bleacher ticket redeem at Athletic park ticket window for any regular season 2021 game.
