Wheelers Family Honored by Wisconsin Association of School Boards

Wheelers Family Auto Group is proud to announce that Wheelers Chevrolet GMC of Wisconsin Rapids has been named to the 2025 Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Business Honor Roll, recognizing local businesses that make a positive and lasting impact on Wisconsin schools.

Each year, the WASB invites school boards across the state to nominate businesses that demonstrate exceptional support for education. This year, 56 school districts nominated more than 180 businesses, and Wheelers was honored to be among those selected.

The Pittsville School District nominated Wheelers for its efforts to provide Pittsville students with hands-on learning opportunities in the automotive industry. Through a new partnership launched in spring 2025, Mary Jo Wheeler-Schueller, co-owner of Wheelers Family Auto Group, dedicated eight weeks to mentoring students, helping them gain real-world experience in both automotive technology and business ownership.

“Pittsville School District would like to thank Wheelers and Mary Jo Wheeler for her time in the Pittsville School District to make an impact on our students interested in Automotive,” said Taylor Varsho, Principal.

“Connecting with students and helping them see the career paths available in the automotive industry has been incredibly rewarding,” said Mary Jo Wheeler-Schueller. “Our family has always believed in giving back to the communities that support us, and education plays a key role in that commitment.”

The Pittsville School Board and Superintendent Jason Knott formally recognized Wheelers during their November 10 board meeting where a plaque from the WASB and the district was presented in appreciation of Wheelers’ continued community partnership.

“We are grateful for the recognition and for the opportunity to work with local schools,” Wheeler-Schueller added. “At Wheelers, we believe that strong schools help create strong communities, and we’re proud to play a part in that.”
